Lot Split¶
If the radio button lot split has been set to Yes in the bill of quantities (see the red marking in the bill of quantities illustration), a special form is available for positions and groups, the lot.
Each lot has its own evaluation scheme. Different types of evaluation scheme can be used for each lot within a service specifications with lot split, e.g. UfAB-2018 and price evaluation or evaluation according to VHB.
Awards with lot split contain at least two lots, which in turn consist of at least one or more positions or groups. The lots of an award procedure can be awarded to different bidders.
Tip
For award procedures with lot split in the VOB area, you can assign different evaluation criteria to each of the lots using a form.
It is possible to exclude individual lots of a bidder during the bid review. They are then no longer available for the contract award proposal or for the contract award. The lots excluded in this way and the respective reasons for exclusion can be integrated into the form set for display.
During the bidding phase of a procedure, it may already become apparent that no award will be made for a lot, for example because the requirement has been eliminated. For this reason, you have the option of removing lots before the bids are opened. The corresponding Cancel lots or Change announcement/documents/lots action can therefore be carried out immediately after the award procedure is published.
Tip
Unlike when canceling lots after the opening of tenders, you have the option in the further course of the secondary workflow of this action to create a new version of the tender documents and to send the updated bill of quantities to your participants.
